Today would have been my mother’s birthday. Though she now celebrates in heaven, her presence surrounds me every day, in my work, my art, and the way I see beauty in the world.
My mother was the embodiment of grace, sophistication, and quiet strength. She possessed a natural elegance that could never be taught, only admired. She believed that a woman’s true style came from her heart, her kindness, and the confidence to express her individuality.
It was because of her that I fell in love with jewelry, the shimmer of stones, the craftsmanship, and the meaning behind each piece. She understood how something so small could hold emotion, memory, and legacy. That passion became the foundation of my life’s work and inspired me to open two jewelry stores in New Orleans.
Her influence is woven through everything I do. Every design I create, every curated collection at Elsie in Naples, carries her touch. From the refined details to the celebration of timeless beauty, she continues to guide my creative spirit.
